Myelin Basic Protein (87-99) (human, bovine, rat)

This MBP fragment has been shown to induce the proliferation of an encephalitogenic, myelin basic protein-specific T cell line. Active immunization of rats with this peptide induced acute experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. This protein region is highly conserved among mammalian species.
