ER-MP 20 is useful for the detection of mouse macrophage precursor cells in the mid-stage development phase (late CFU-M, monoblasts and monocytes). It is highly suitable for the detection of monocytes and band segmented cells with lower antigen expression in bone marrow samples using FACS. ER-MP 20 also identifies activated macrophages in inflammatory tissues where the simultaneous use of the murine pan-macrophage marker BM 8 is recommended. ER-MP 20 also detects a wide range of endothelial cells.
