CD54
Clone 1304 detects activated human endothelial cells and other cells in tissue sections and isolated cells. The antibody recognizes an epitope localized on domain I of the Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1 (ICAM 1). Granulomas (macrophages / epitheloid cells) in inflamed colon from Crohn's disease and follicular dendritic cells in the tonsil from chronic tonsilitis are strongly positive for CD54. ICAM-1 is a widely distributed, cytokine-inducible counter-receptor for LFA 1 (CD11a/CD18). The antigen is a single-chain glycoprotein of 90 kD. For human cells and tissue samples.
