CD49e

X-6 recognizes the human fibronectin receptor. CD49e is a component of an adhesion receptor heterodimer (α5β1) to fibronectin and invasin. Binding of fibronectin through α5β1 is important for cell survival and induces apoptosis, particularly in hemopoietic cells. Main cellular reactivity: monocytes, T-memory cells, platelets.
