Peninsula Laboratories' SEP-Columns are economical substitutes to SEP-PAKS, providing the same level of performance in sample cleanup and trace enrichment. In the α- and β-ANP radioimmunoassays, SEP-Columns (Y-1000) give the same percent recovery as the corresponding SEP-PAKS for half the cost. For pTH-related protein extraction, a more polar SEP-Column (Y-1005) gives better recoveries. These two types of SEP-Columns are prepacked with reversed phase absorbents sandwiched between two bed-retaining frits. They attach easily to standard luer-tipped syringes by means of reusable adapters.
